The Tree of Life should win every Oscar
As someone in the comments put it, I’m deeply pretentious so I freaking loved this film.
Give me a film this beautiful to look at, one with an admittedly overblown but genuinely heartfelt message, excellent performances and DINOSAURS over The Help any day. I’m glad it was at least nominated, as Hollywood should seek to make more films like this and reward truly excellent directors like Terrence Mallick for their vision and conviction, not making empty, soulless, derivative cack like the aforementioned ‘white people save black people’ vehicle.
God, I really hated that film. Can ya tell?
